The spiritual leaders of their Chapters, Chaplains are awe-inspiring warrior-priests who perform rites, preserve rituals, and execute ancient ceremonies of initiation, redemption, and purification that are as important to a Space Marine Chapter as its roll of honour or combat prowess. Each Chapter has its own Chaplain, who serves as a leader in both worship and combat, second only to the Chapter Captain.
Dressed in the iconic black Mk X power armour with unique greaves, he fights fiercely with an Absolver bolt pistol and a Crozius Arcane. His hooded cassock gives him an ominous appearance, with spikes, chains, skulls, and purity seals visible throughout. His helmet features a skull, and his breastplate has been modified to depict a bare chest, a reminder of the mortality that his enemies face. An iron halo is attached to his backpack, with 12 rays that symbolize the High Lords of Terra.
